In 2020 we built a shop on our property and started working on customer vehicles to support my racing. I also started Automotive Technology classes at the College of Western Idaho in Nampa Idaho. In Dec 2022 I finished my program of study with an Associate in Automotive Technology and 9 ASE certifications along with my MACS 609 AC Certification.

On a friend of mines post about his 2018 Cummin's Diesel I posted a link to AMSOIL By-Pass filter systems. The Bypass Oil Filter (EaBP) provides the best possible filtration protection against wear and oil degradation. Working in conjunction with the engine's full-flow oil filter, the AMSOIL Ea Bypass Filter operates by filtering oil on a "partial-flow" basis. It draws approximately 10 percent of the oil pump's capacity at any one time and traps the extremely small, wear-causing contaminants that full-flow filters can't remove. The AMSOIL Ea Bypass Filter typically filters all the oil in the system several times an hour, so the engine continuously receives analytically clean oil.

In 2008 I was fed up with the "free" oil changes the dealership was giving me on my truck and I saw AMSOIL for sale in a Boise ID store. Looking at the cost, and the 10,000-mile guarantee, I figured this would be a cheaper option. I've changed the oil in most of my vehicles over the previous 20 years and only had taken the "free" ones as it was "included" in the purchase.
Right away the truck ran better, after a couple hundred miles it was getting better gas mileage. When I went back to the store to get more for my car, they were out (store closing). So I searched online and found they only sell through authorized dealers and I could buy what I wanted online. And they have oil filters to that work with their oil. At that moment I was hooked, and only on very rare (emergency) situations have I used anything but AMSOIL.
When you look at the cost of an oil change, most people are put off by the high cost. But if you break it down you can see the cost is not that high. Extended drain intervals and improved fuel economy, the cost of the oil change are further offset.
